My coworker is friends with Jeff and Debbie Raw and referred me. It was important for me to have a recommendation from someone I know and trust. Jeff was quick to respond and follow up with me. He seemed to understand what I was looking for and showed interest in helping me. As a first time homebuyer, he made me feel comfortable and excited about the process.
I've lived in New Orleans for the last five years, and even though I was excited about moving to the Atlanta area, I knew I would miss my previous neighborhood. I like living in a place with unique culture, old character, friendly neighbors, and people who care about bettering their community. (My neighborhood has a community garden, which I'm so excited to help take care of!) While I love going out to restaurants and events nearby, spending time at home is equally enjoyable for me, so my house in Decatur has been perfect for this transition. There is so much more to explore here, so I know I'll be happy in this location for a long time because both my house and my area fit me perfectly.
I was nervous and excited for my first house hunting day, and as soon as I arrived to meet Jeff and Debbie, I knew I was in good hands. They took so much time out of their weekend to show me around Decatur and get to know me. After seeing a couple houses, I changed some criteria to make the second day more productive, but it was not a problem. Debbie made sure we had plenty of houses to see, and out of those, we found my dream home. When I found the right house, she acted quickly and did whatever was necessary. She counseled and advised me, I could ask as many questions as I needed to, and she helped me feel empowered every time I had to make a critical decision. Thanks to their knowledge and expertise, plus a heart to help me find a home, I had an incredibly smooth and successful buying experience.
I never thought I could buy a home at this point in my life, so I'm beyond grateful that I was connected with Jeff and Debbie. They helped me know what was possible for me, and their network in Atlanta is extensive, so I know I can count on them for much more than just buying another home. I would encourage anyone with a desire to own a home to start the process and begin asking questions because it’s so worth it!
