The Oakhurst Jazz Nights program will return in April for its Spring Concert Series with new and veteran jazz performers, according to a city of Decatur press release.
Held on the lawn of the historic Scottish Rite Building, attendees are free to bring blankets or chairs, or they can reserve a bistro table for $25 per table, per night.
This year, performer Diane Durrett, a singer with a “sultry blues style,” and Eileen Howard, who puts “a Disney twist” on jazz performances, will join the series for the first time, the release said. Additionally, past performers, like the Matt Wauchope Trio and the Bonaventure Quartet with Amy Pike, will return to the stage.
Produced by the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association, the concerts will take place each Thursday in April from 7-9 p.m. with a different performer each week. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be held inside of the Solarium, located next door.
